on the morning of oct. 27th, the closing ceremony & project signing ceremony of the 11th china-central asia cooperation forum was held in yinchuan, capital of northwest china's ningxia hui autonomous region ("the autonomous region"). cui li, the vice president of the good-neighborliness, friendship and cooperation commission of the shanghai cooperation organization（"gnfcc sco"）, and lei dongsheng, the member of the standing committee and secretary general of the cpc committee of the autonomous region, attended and delivered speeches. wang li, the vice chairman of the autonomous region, presided over the ceremony.
at the closing ceremony, where relevant enterprises, scientific research institutes and business associations from the 5 central asian countries and china signed 35 cooperation agreements involving economy and trade, agriculture and sister cities worth more than 11.2 billion yuan, the autonomous region and samarkand region of uzbekistan, shizuishan city and nurabad district respectively signed their international sister city agreement. moreover, ningxia signed a memorandum of understanding on sister cities with khwarazm region.
the participants unanimously agreed that this forum has thoroughly implemented the important consensus reached by president xi jinping and the heads of state of the 5 central asian countries at the china-central asia summit and the astana summit, and has achieved fruitful results in practicing the principle of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness, strengthening economic and trade cooperation, and deepening people-to-people and cultural exchanges, which fully reflects the strong agreement and positive actions of china and central asian countries to join hands for building a closer china-central asia community of destiny. they expressed that they will deepen cooperation on the belt and road initiative, fully implement the yinchuan initiative announced on this forum, strengthen exchanges and cooperation among political parties, governments and all sectors of society on both sides, further tap into new growth points such as finance, digital economy, green and low-carbon development, and build up more platforms for civil society exchanges, so as to jointly promote the linkage of development between china and central asian countries and the friendship of the two peoples.
